The horror comedy got rave reviews and the positive word of mouth helped the film to become a box office winner. Samantha expressed her gratitude to the audience for making the film a huge success. The actress and her team have been visiting various cities to witness and experience the euphoria in theatres. Samantha, one of the prominent faces of the film, highlighted how proud she was of the entire team, calling them multifaceted and full of talent. She thanked the audience for the overwhelming love and support.

Didn’t want to do a cameo: Samantha

At one of the theatres, Samantha emphasized that Subham isn’t just another film but a wholesome family entertainer. She added that the film boasts a refreshing concept, engaging writing and strong performances. Fans were quick to inquire about the possibility of a sequel, to which Samantha responded with an enthusiastic yes, hinting at Subham 2 in the future. The actress-producer revealed that she didn’t want to do a cameo in the film. “Even the day before the shoot, I said I couldn’t do it,” she shares. Adding, “But now I feel glad that I did it and I am so proud of my team.”

Samantha recalls a shocking experience

In one of her recent interviews, Samantha recalled an incident where fans asked for photos on the day her dad passed away.  She explained that she never refuses to take photos with her fans because they are the reason for her success. She also stated that it takes a lot of courage to walk up to someone to ask for a photo. “I remember when I got a call from my mother that my dad had passed away, I took the first flight out of Mumbai to Chennai,” she recalls. After she landed, there were quite a few fans who asked for selfies. “I remember standing and taking all these pictures,” Samantha asserts, stating that despite grief she smiled and that it hit her hard. She added, “I didn’t want to say no and upset them. But no normal person would be expected to smile on the day their dad died.”
