Salman Khanâs Rakhi Celebration With Sister Arpita Khan Sharma Reflects Indiaâs Spirit of Unity

A short clip from Salman Khan’s Rakhi celebration has caught attention across social media. The footage shows his younger sister, Arpita Khan Sharma, performing traditional prayers before tying a sacred thread around her brother’s wrist. The intimate family moment struck a chord with viewers, who praised its celebration of India’s diverse cultural fabric.

Netizens were quick to point out the coming together of different traditions in the frame — Arpita, who comes from an Islamic family and is married to Hindu actor Aayush Sharma, was seen observing a Hindu ritual with her brother, while a famous painting of Jesus Christ could also be seen in the background. For many viewers, the scene served as a striking representation of India’s shared cultural heritage and the coexistence of different faiths and traditions.

Arpita Holds A Special Place In Salman’s Life

Salman has often placed family at the centre of his personal life, and his bond with Arpita has been particularly evident over the years. In 2024, he attended Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations at Arpita’s residence despite suffering from a painful rib injury while shooting for Sikandar. Rather than resting at home, the actor joined his family for the prayers and stood alongside his loved ones throughout the ceremony.
