Rajkummar Rao has forever been the unconventional star to pick up movies which cater to delivering a message over anything else. His debut pick itself, Dibakar Banerjee's Love Sex Aur Dhokha, speaks volumes of his choices. Following the high praises of the commercial and critical hit, he went on to portray ever-lasting characters in other films including Ragini MMS (2011), Shaitan (2011) and Gangs of Wasseypur - Part 2 (2012).
His rise to success came right after his breakout role in the readaptation of Chetan Bhagat's The 3 Mistakes of My Life, Kai Po Che!, alongside late Sushant Singh Rajput. It is not simply that Rajkummar Rao has so fondly been addressed as a fearless chameleon for his ability as an artist to bestow life upon any character he plays.
