Music composer Amaal Mallik has launched a scathing attack on his industry colleague Tanishk Bagchi, without taking his name directly. In a long note, he appeared to refer to Bagchi as "Mr Remix & Destroyer of Originals."
His note read, "Dear Mr Remix & Destroyer of Originals

Tanishk had alleged a week ago that he is yet to receive his remaining royalty for the song Saiyaara. Referring to that, Amaal continued,
"If I speak up about how you bagged the film #Saiyaara, and stole the song right under Faheem Abdullah & Arsalan Nizami’s nose to make Mohit Suri take you in the film, then you will know.
They will out of respect not support me, but if they have the guts to stand up ,they should release #SaiyaanMere & the world will know who actually made the song and kisne aise hi credit khaya. Bhai break up mera bhi hua hai, woh dard dikhaake aur use karke picture mein ghusne ki bheek nahi maangta main bete."
Amaal further made a serious allegation, claiming that if he were to speak about what Bagchi allegedly did to female singers and their lives, there would be MeToo cases against him. He also referred to Bagchi's post against YRF, alleging that filmmaker Mohit Suri had made him delete it.

He also claimed that Bagchi is composing for YRF's next project despite having "no gratitude" for the money and effort the banner allegedly spent in making his "copied song Saiyaara a global anthem."
The post went on further, with Amaal accusing Bagchi of being a 'thief' and alleging that his songs are copies of Pakistani tracks or some other composers' stolen songs. He continued, "You copied #Saiyaara from #HumnawaMere and out of respect Jubin Nautiyal had to keep quiet as he was part of the same film. For the sake of being your regular collaborator and also the singer of #Barbaad from the same movie, he didn’t raise a voice is my clear guess…Since he sang #RataanLambiyaan for you he and #RockyKhanna the composer of the pop song Humnawa Mere, kept quiet."
Armaan then said that Bagchi keeps bad-mouthing Bhushan Kumar and T Series.

Amaal Mallik had composed the recreated version of Yeh Awarapan for Emraan Hashmi's upcoming film Awarapan 2. Recently, he had also claimed that paid PR campaigns were being run against him and the song.
