Punjabi pop star Diljit Dosanjh appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon for the second time and left everyone swooning with his performance. Among those impressed was his co-star Kareena Kapoor Khan, who took to social media to shower him with love.
She took to Instagram's story section to share a clip of him performing on the track Morni and wrote, "Forever a Fan girl", with a red heart emoji. For his performance, he wore a traditional all-black ensemble with a turban.

Meanwhile, on the show, Diljit also spoke about why his recent Vancouver concert meant so much more to him. Explaining the historical significance of the venue, he said, "That stadium we did in Vancouver…like 1914, our people came first time in Canada, they didn’t allow us to come and go to Canada. And that stadium is just two kilometres away from the Guru Nanak Jahaz Komagata Maru incident. So, it’s a big thing for us now, 55,000 people in the one stadium there, just two kilometres away, you didn’t allow us to come. And now, here we are, man. So, that’s why it’s amazing."

For the uninitiated, the Komagata Maru incident in 1914 was an immigration dispute in which a ship carrying 376 passengers, mostly from Punjab, was denied entry in Vancouver. This led to the arrest of several people, while almost 20 passengers were killed.
On the film front, Diljit Dosanjh will next be seen in Imtiaz Ali's Main Vaapas Aaunga, co-starring Naseeruddin Shah, Vedang Raina and Sharvari. Kareena Kapoor, on the other hand, has Meghna Gulzar's Daayra in the pipeline with Prithviraj Sukumaran.
