Ranbir Kapoor Unveils Ramayana Visuals in Los Angeles

Ranbir Kapoor, alongside director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra, travelled to Los Angeles to introduce the first visuals of their upcoming epic, Ramayana. The trio hosted a special screening for an exclusive international audience, marking a major milestone for the mythological project. During the event, which saw a packed house, Ranbir opened up about the important responsibility of playing Lord Rama. Speaking at a Q&A session after the footage was released, he shared his insights into how he perceives the character, describing him as much more than just a historical or mythological figure. Ranbir said, “Lord Rama has been the conscience keeper of billions of people around the globe for centuries and long after. He will continue being so long after we have gone.”

He further explained the timeless relevance of the deity, mentioning that the character serves as a guide for humanity. He added, “He enlightens us about the human spirit in terms of adversities. He stands for compassion, for courage, for righteousness and forgiveness. He is called Maryada Purushottam, which stands for an ideal man.”

The film, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, is shaping up to be one of the biggest cinematic events in recent history. The LA event offered a glimpse into the scale of the project, after a three-minute teaser released earlier in July 2025.

The project boasts a stellar cast, including Sai Pallavi as Sita, Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman, and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman. Adding to its global appeal, the musical score is a collaboration between legendary composer Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman.

Fans won't have to wait much longer for the next big reveal, as a new glimpse of Rama is scheduled for April 2. Ramayana Part One is slated for a worldwide release in October 2026, just in time for Diwali, with the second part expected in 2027.
