The makers announced today that Bridgerton is back in production for season 5. The fifth season of the series spotlights introverted middle daughter Francesca (Hannah Dodd). Hannah Dodd's exclusive interview with Filmfare
Opening up on the fourth season of Bridgerton, where Francesca faces the hard truths of life, Hannah revealed, "What is really nice about Francesca is that she is really on that journey. She has always been on her own journey. There isn't a big jump each time. It is really nice to get to sit with a character as she takes these baby steps."
She further added, "Each season, it is not a story that feels like a huge jump. I always read the script and think, 'Okay, this makes sense.' It is really interesting that they (Francesca Bridgerton and John Stirling) got married, but it's not perfect. And she is now willing to work on the little bits of their relationship. She wants to close those gaps between the two of them. So as an actor, it is lovely because I am thoroughly getting to know the character. Francesca is getting to know herself. So I am totally on that journey. The writing is leading me to Francesca's mindset and helping me understand how to go about in Francesca's ways."
